Let the day [a]perish wherein I was born, and the night when it was said, There is a man child conceived.

Let that day be darkness, let not God [b]regard it from above, neither let the light shine upon it,

But let darkness and the [c]shadow of death stain it: let the cloud remain upon it, and let them make it fearful as a bitter day.
